San Pedro / Wachuma
The San Pedro cactus (Wachuma in Quechua) has been used in the Andes for thousands of years. It is a medicine meant to heal on emotional, physical and spiritual levels. It reconnects us to ourselves and to mother earth. It provides clarity, purpose, and self-love. It is a medicine for the heart and soul.
We have been working with the spirit of this plant for over 25 years. We only use 7 and 9 ribbed cacti, in accordance to sacred geometry. Always following a mindful process in the preparation and harvesting of each cactus we use.
We provide you with wholesome food and herbal teas throughout the ceremony. Welcome the energetic cleansings of one of the Q’ero shamans that are frequently present. Q’eros are considered the wisdom-keepers of sacred Inka Mysticism. You can stay in the ceremonial space of the Moloka, relax in our garden, or venture out to the surrounding Inka temples.
Ceremonies are held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Casa de la Gringa Mountain House Retreat Temple of the Moon (10am to 7:00pm).
